TKD News:     Apr-Jun 2019

New Horizon Sports Centre, Chell. Sunday 07-04-2019

A Bo Staff Seminar/Grading in the morning was followed by a Ground Defence Seminar in the afternoon. P.U.M.A.'s Master Ogborne 7th Degree and Mr Ashmead 4th Degree delivered a great Bo Staff Seminar/Grading in the morning. Master O. was back in action in the afternoon this time with Mr Pixton 5th Degree for an equally great Ground Defence Seminar. This was the first Ground Defence Seminar in our area and judging by the feedback won't be the last. New Century would like thank P.U.M.A. for giving us an action packed day.

P.U.M.A Presentation evening 22nd June 2019

P.U.M.A Presentation evening was held at the Meca, Swindon. A very special night for students, families and friends. A night where everyone celebrates Taekwon-Do students achievements, receiving Blackbelts and Certificates for qualifying as Assistant Instructors, Instructors, Umpires and Referee's. There are also several awards given relating to various aspects of the Blackbelt grading i.e. best on grade etc. After being presented their awards by Master Gayle 8th Degree and Master Ogborne 7th Degree they are congratulated by all the members of the P.U.M.A Promotions panel. This is an event not to be missed but unfortunately Mr Brannan receiving the highest Degree level of the grading was abroad at the time. All ended well with him being presented with his belt at the New Century Senior Grade Training held in Ashbourne on 6th July. Mr Brannan is a great asset to New Century and I felt privileged to present him with his 4th Degree belt.

Congratulations to all of our students who passed (see below) with a special mention and more congratulation to Mr Siwak who passed with a Credit (one of the few awarded).

Mr Peter Brannan promoted to 4th Degree

Mr P. Brannan 4th Degree eventually receiving his belt from Mr D. Salt 6th Degree.
